Falling Ceilings

falling ceilings

What do you do when the ceiling is falling? Duck for cover? Run out of the room? Those do seem like reasonable options.

I opt for another tack. Ignore it.

I’ve been ignoring falling ceilings for a long while. Those ceilings had been metaphorical. Only recently had one become concrete. Literal concrete.

Well, I am tired of ignoring the falling ceilings. It’s gotten exhausting, and worse yet, boring. So, this site is to all the fallen ceilings I’ve been ignoring. Some will stay so, I’d reckon; others will be cleared away. The view is much better without them. And a few ceilings will be restored.

Now given the image above, you'd likely think that's where I would start. And you’d be wrong.

So where do you begin when the ceiling has fallen? Call a contractor? Contact your insurance agent? Again, those seem like reasonable options.

Where do I begin?

Start sorting out tens of thousands of emails of course. When the literal ceiling has fallen, you can wonder if it ain't the consequence of past sins--divine punishment for neglect (Towers of Siloam aside).

Onto the tales of ceilings fallen--ignored, cleared, and restored.
